Why I Write About Imperfect Characters

Perfect characters have never interested me.

The people who stay with me are the ones who struggle. The ones who make mistakes, carry emotional scars, and find themselves standing at crossroads they never expected to face.

Real life is messy. We all have moments we're proud of and moments we'd rather forget. That's why I write characters who feel human rather than heroic.

My favorite stories aren't about people who have all the answers. They're about people searching for them.

I believe readers connect most deeply with characters who remind them of themselves—not because they're perfect, but because they're trying.

And sometimes, trying is enough.
