Overshadowed Hope Cover Reveal

When summer vacation started I promised myself that I would set a due date for Overshadowed Hope. I began chipping away at my 32k word manuscript, adding a little more each day. It still wasn't getting done as fast as I would like. I told myself I was going to finish writing in 30 days. I made myself sit down and write, but that only lasted 20 of the thirty days and my manuscript now stalled at 51k words sat on my computer. I knew I was close to the end. I knew I needed to push through. I decided that I needed to seclude myself from everyone if I was going to get this book finished. Cue the support from my husband and my mother. My husband assured me over and over that he could handle the kids for 24 hours so that I could finish my book, my mother offered the used of her 5th wheel RV so I could write distraction free.
On Monday around 3:30 my husband dropped me off at my parents house. I had one and only one goal in mind and that was to finish the book. I opened my laptop, pulled up my music list on my phone and got started. Progress was slow at first. It took me a while to find my groove, but once I got started the words started to flow almost seamlessly from my mind, through my fingers, and onto the screen. By 12:45 am I had written over 10k words. My manuscript now sat at 61k words- the longest manuscript I have ever written. I tried to sleep but my brain wouldn't stop composing the story, after four hours of tossing and turning, I got back up to finish the book.
At 11:25 am and over 17k total words later my manuscript was at 69k words and I wrote the words, "The End." I had all but forgotten how good it feels to finish writing a book, and for me this isn't just any book. I have a deeper connection to this story than any other story I have written.
Now that I've had time to celebrate and be happy with the fact that I finished it, I'm ready to release the cover of Overshadowed Hope. I hope you all like it as much as I do.
